IFY maths is challenging, and with high progression requirements, many students require more personalised support to succeed.
I am a fully qualified teacher and have taught maths to IFY students for eight years at the University of Sheffield International College. I have an intimate knowledge of the course content and the assessment criteria.
During my time at the College I built a reputation amongst students as an excellent teacher and students often arrived already knowing my name from previous cohorts. My student feedback frequently mentioned my ability to explain difficult concepts simply whilst maintaining an enjoyable classroom atmosphere.

These sessions are suitable for students wanting the convenience of an online session.

Face to Face
£70 One to One / £105 (2 or 3 students)
1 Hour face to face Session
These sessions are suitable for students who prefer face to face sessions. The sessions can be held one to one, or in small groups if you have some friends who would also like tuition.

These sessions are suitable for students who have a suitable shared study space in their accommodation. Simply provide address details on the booking form and I will travel to you!
Exam 1 Resit Masterclass
£250
5 X 1.5 hour weekly sessions online
Specialist exam revision course running for 5 consecutive weeks to get you confident and prepared for the Exam 1 resit. I will use all of my knowledge and experience from my 8 years teaching the module to:
revise all of the key content for the exam with you
share the most common type of exam questions
suggest key questions to practice after each session
The sessions will be recorded and shared via a personalised link, so if you miss a session you can catch up easily, and you can refer back to the recordings to aid your revision.
Dates: Sunday 2, 9, 16, & 23 Feb, 2 March @ 6.30pm

Exam 1 Resit Masterclass
5 X 1.5 hour online sessions (7.5 hours total)
I am running a 5 week Exam 1 Resit Masterclass program starting on Sunday 2nd February at 6:30pm and then the 4 following Sundays.
Over the 5 sessions I will be covering all of the key content, including what is most likely to be on the exam. I will be using all of my knowledge and experience from having taught the foundation maths module for 8 years (longer than any of the current teachers at college!).
I’ve previously written exam questions and marked thousands of papers for foundation maths so it’s no exaggeration to say I’m an expert when it comes to this module. You will get expert help and advice from a recent college teacher that nobody has had access to before.
After each session I will share with you key questions that you should complete as part of your independent study so you will have no concerns about whether you are practicing the right things and not making effective use of your time.
The sessions will be recorded and shared via a personalised link, so if you miss a session you will be able to catch up on what you missed and the recordings can also be used to aid your revision.
The sessions will be online on Sunday evenings starting at 6:30pm for 1.5 hours and there will be a total of 5 sessions 2,9,16,23 February and 2 March. This takes you right up until the Sunday before the resit exam! The perfect revision package to improve your chances of success in your one and only resit attempt at Exam 1.
The total cost is £250 for the 7.5 hours of online tuition (just over £33/hour). This is a significant saving over my usual hourly charge.
To keep the quality of the sessions as high as possible I am limiting spaces to a maximum of 5 students. Once the spaces are gone they are gone!
